In a shocking development, Priyanka, a former beauty queen, who had won the Miss Meerut 2005 crown, killed her parents on the night of November 10. The 25-year-old Priyanka committed the crime along with her friend Anju. Both girls were arrested from Meerut yesterday.
Priyanka, the winner of Miss Meerut 2005, had done fashion designing after graduation. Her father was working as a junior engineer in the power corporation. According to Meerut police, Priyanka’s father Prem Singh (64) always suspected Priyanka as an illegitimate child. Priyanka was reportedly abused and mistreated by her father throughout her childhood.
Priyanka, the former Miss Meerut, later befriended Anju from Amroha, who was also an abused child. Both girls hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Priyanka’s elderly father and mother. After killing her parents, Priyanka had left home with cash, ornaments and all important documents. Priyanka and Anju have confessed to the crime.
